A report by Iran media alleged that Ali Fouladvand who was identified as the head of research at Iran’s Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research (SPND), was killed alongside members of his family in an airstrike on Borujerd on Saturday morning.
The report described Fouladvand as “an ordinary citizen,” despite SPND’s known involvement in sensitive military-related research.
The outlet further claimed that Fouladvand had survived an earlier attack during a 12-day conflict last June, in which his wife, Masoumeh Pirhadi, was reportedly killed.
It also noted that he had been sanctioned by the United States Department of State on October 1, 2025, adding that no publicly available images of him exist.
However, the account remains unverified, as it has not yet been independently confirmed by major international news organisations or corroborated by multiple reliable sources.
