I’ll restore Ile-Ife’s lost glory—Adeleke pledges

 

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has affirmed his administration’s commitment to revitalizing the historic city of Ile-Ife.

Mr. Adeleke made the pledge during a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja, in Ile-Ife on Tuesday.

Expressing discontent with the current state of infrastructure in the town during his visits, the governor assured to prioritize substantial investments in the infrastructural development of Ile-Ife, considering its significance as the cradle of Yorubaland.

Wale Ladipo, a former national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lauded Ooni for supporting the governor and the state government.

Mr Ladipo thanked the governor for initiating the construction of a flyover in Ile-Ife, among other infrastructure projects.

In his remarks, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi commended the governor for his efforts to ensure even growth and development in all communities in the state.

Mr Ogunwusi called for more good roads within Ife and its environs, among other developments in the area.
