“I Will Work Against Peter Obi in 2027 Elections”- Cubana Chief Priest

By Paul Joseph

Well-known socialite and entrepreneur Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, has declared his intention to oppose Peter Obi in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.

This is significant as Chief Priest had previously supported Obi during the 2023 elections and even acted as a special adviser to an APC governor at that time.

He made this announcement during an engaging Instagram conversation with fans, who questioned his political change and his new involvement with the City Boy Movement, a support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

When asked if he would actively campaign against Obi, he responded:
“Yes, I hope that’s not a crime because I worked for Obi in the last election, even as a special adviser to an APC governor.”

Critics reminded him of his past encounters with the EFCC, implying that the government he now backs had previously investigated him. Chief Priest brushed off these concerns, stating that going through the EFCC is almost a badge of honor for successful Nigerians:
“If you haven’t been to the EFCC in Nigeria, you haven’t made it.”

The conversation also touched on development in the South-East. Chief Priest urged critics to focus on taking action instead of complaining:
“Be quiet and support whoever you want; as for Biafra, how many developments have you contributed to the South-East?”

This political shift comes shortly after Obi Cubana, another prominent figure in the Cubana network, was appointed as the South-East Director of the City Boy Movement by Seyi Tinubu, President Tinubu’s son, igniting discussions about the political trajectory of South-East businessmen as the 2027 elections approach.
