I Don’t Pray Frequently But My Wife Does – Wike Reveals

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revealed that although he does not pray frequently, his wife is deeply prayerful, adding that he always asks her to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue supporting his administration because such backing is vital for him to deliver on his mandate.

Wike made the disclosure on Tuesday during the inauguration of the Water Supply Network to Bwari Satellite Town in the Bwari Area Council of the FCT.

The minister said the FCT Administration has so far commissioned 50 projects under its ongoing infrastructure development drive and is on course to inaugurate 10 additional projects before January.

Drawing from his experience as both a former governor and a serving minister, Wike stressed that no minister can succeed without the confidence, support and commitment of the President.

“I don’t pray frequently, but my wife does,” Wike said, explaining that he consistently asks her to pray that President Tinubu will continue to stand behind the FCT Administration.

According to him, the President has provided the political support, resources and enabling environment needed to execute critical infrastructure projects across the Federal Capital Territory.

He pledged that the administration would continue to work tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed in it by the President through the delivery of projects that directly impact residents.

Wike also reiterated that the essence of governance is to improve the lives of citizens, expressing confidence that the Tinubu administration remains committed to delivering development and better living conditions for Nigerians.

The inauguration of the Bwari Water Supply Network is part of the FCT Administration’s broader efforts to expand access to potable water and strengthen infrastructure across the territory.
