Asiya Muhammad Gauyama, the mother-in-law of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has passed away.
The deceased is the mother of Hafsatu Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the wife of the party chairman.
A statement issued by Edwin Olofu, the Chief Press Secretary to the National Chairman, on Monday, described the deceased as a revered matriarch whose life was characterized by unwavering commitment to family, community, and faith.
“Her passing is a profound loss, not only to her immediate family but also to all who knew and loved her,” the statement said.
The funeral prayer for Hajiya Asiya Muhammad Gauyama was held on Monday at 2 PM at the residence of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in Kano State.
“On behalf of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and the entire APC family, we extend our deepest sympathies to Professor Hafsatu Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and her family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate through this period of grief and loss,” the statement concluded.
