Female Banker Suspended After Allegedly Having Affairs With Over 200 Men

A senior executive at one of Zambia’s major financial institutions, the Zambia National Commercial Bank (ZANACO), has reportedly been suspended following allegations of sexual misconduct involving multiple clients and job seekers.

According to reports published by local outlet ZambianWatch, the official identified as Mutale Winfridah, a 39-year-old branch senior executive, is accused of soliciting sexual favours from numerous men under the pretext of offering employment opportunities and facilitating loan approvals.

The allegations claim that more than 10 individuals have formally lodged complaints with the bank’s management, alleging that the executive used her position of authority to coerce them into sexual relationships.

Sources cited in the report further allege that the number of affected individuals could be significantly higher, with some claims suggesting involvement of over 200 men, including both clients and job seekers.

However, these figures have not been independently verified by authorities or the bank.

Following the complaints, the bank is said to have placed the executive on suspension pending the outcome of internal investigations.

As of press time, ZANACO has not issued an official public statement detailing the allegations or confirming the scope of disciplinary action, while efforts to obtain additional comment from relevant authorities are ongoing.

The case has sparked widespread attention in Zambia, raising concerns over workplace ethics, abuse of authority, and institutional oversight within the banking sector.
