Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been drawn in Group C of the 2026 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where they will battle Zambia, Egypt and debutants Malawi in the group stage of the tournament.
The nine-time African champions will play all their group matches in Casablanca, with fixtures scheduled to take place at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium. Nigeria are aiming to defend the title they won at the last edition after a dramatic final victory over hosts Morocco.
Zambia are expected to pose a serious challenge in the group, having emerged as one of the continent’s fastest-rising women’s teams in recent years, while Egypt will be hoping to spring surprises as they continue rebuilding their squad. Malawi will be making their first appearance at the competition and will be eager to prove their credentials on the continental stage.
Elsewhere in the draw, hosts Morocco will lead Group A alongside Algeria, Senegal and Kenya. Group B consists of South Africa, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Tanzania, while Group D features Ghana, Cameroon, Mali and Cape Verde.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, with the tournament also serving as a pathway to global qualification, as the semi-finalists will secure tickets to the next FIFA Women’s World Cup.
