The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Tejuosho, the suspended South-West Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, over an alleged fraud case.

EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, confirmed on Saturday that Tejuosho is currently in the commission’s custody.

Her arrest follows an earlier declaration by the anti-graft agency, which had listed her as wanted in April over allegations of obtaining money under false pretence.

The EFCC had appealed to members of the public to provide information that could assist in locating her after declaring her wanted.

According to the commission at the time, Tejuosho is from Lagos State, while her last known address was House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja.

Oyewale confirmed her arrest in a brief statement, saying, “She is in our custody.”

The EFCC is expected to continue its investigation into the allegations against her.
