Drama Unfolds as Gbenga Daniel Denied Entry to Ogun East APC Caucus Meeting

In a surprising turn of events on Monday morning, a mild drama unfolded in Ijebu-Ode during the Ogun East Caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel was denied entry to the Adeola Odutola College, the designated venue for the gathering.

Eyewitness accounts and videos obtained by Vanguard showed party loyalists chanting “OGD! OGD!” in support of the former governor while one of his aides engaged with individuals stationed behind the locked gate.

In another video, Daniel addressed his supporters from his white coaster campaign bus branded with the “BAT/OGD Movement” logo. “We are here for our Ogun East APC caucus meeting, but surprisingly, we have been barred. We are told that we can’t enter,” he stated. “Let it be said that whatever they do here today is null and void,” Daniel declared.

Further checks revealed that the notice of invitation for the emergency stakeholders’ meeting, issued by party leaders in Ijebu-Ode, listed deputy governors, past and present local government chairmen, councillors, and both past and current members of the state and National Assembly as expected attendees.

The incident has raised eyebrows among party members and supporters, questioning the circumstances surrounding Daniel’s exclusion from the meeting.
