Lawmaker and Nollywood actor Desmond Elliot has publicly tendered an apology to the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, over alleged political misunderstandings linked to recent tensions within Lagos State politics.
Speaking during an appearance on TVC’s Your View, Elliot described Gbajabiamila as a political mentor, acknowledging that disagreements may have arisen during political engagements in Lagos.
He said misunderstandings are common in politics and stressed that his respect for Gbajabiamila remains unchanged despite past friction.
“I’m sorry, my daddy, if I’ve offended you in any way,” Elliot stated, while appealing for forgiveness and reaffirming his loyalty and respect.
The Surulere lawmaker also extended apologies to another political figure he referred to as the “matriarch of Surulere,” expressing regret over any offence caused during the dispute.
His comments come amid lingering references to tensions connected to the Lagos State House of Assembly leadership crisis, which had previously sparked internal disagreements within the ruling All Progressives Congress before being reportedly resolved by party leadership.
Despite the controversy, Elliot reiterated his commitment to the party and to ongoing development efforts in Surulere.
