Nigerian music star Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, has donated three brand-new Sienna space buses to lawyer and politician Pelumi Olajengbesi to support his campaign for the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 election.
The vehicles were presented to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, Osun State, on Thursday, with the politician disclosing the development in a social media post on Friday.
According to Olajengbesi, D’Banj had contacted him about two weeks earlier seeking the details of the person responsible for his campaign branding. He said he assumed the request was connected to the singer’s CREAM project, which supports young creatives.
Olajengbesi said he was subsequently surprised when he received three fully branded Sienna buses.
He quoted D’Banj as describing the gesture as “my token of support.”
Olajengbesi, who is contesting the federal constituency seat under the Accord Party, thanked the singer for what he described as significant support for his political journey. TheCable previously reported that he secured the Accord ticket for the constituency in May 2026.
The donation comes weeks after Afrobeats star Davido publicly expressed support for Olajengbesi’s 2027 House of Representatives ambition.
Olajengbesi previously served as campaign spokesman for the re-election campaign of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and is the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network.
He previously contested the same federal constituency in the 2019 election.
