Nigerian singer Charles Chibueze Chukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has publicly lashed out at his former record label, Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, alleging serious grievances following his exit from the imprint he joined in 2019. Crayon took to social media on Monday, March 16, 2026 with a series of now‑deleted posts accusing Don Jazzy, the veteran music executive and founder of Mavin Records, of owing him unpaid royalties and failing to adequately compensate him for his work under the label.

In the posts, Crayon claimed significant earnings were generated from his music yet he received nothing, and shockingly stated that his mother’s death was “because of you”, directly blaming the label boss for personal tragedy amid alleged financial distress.

The singer also suggested that delayed payments were being used against him, vowed to expose more details, and promised to challenge the label’s practices, though no official response has yet come from Don Jazzy or Mavin Records.
