Veteran Nigerian entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has publicly celebrated his daughter Adaeze after she announced her engagement to her female partner.
The entertainer took to Instagram on Thursday to share a video from the engagement, accompanied by a message celebrating the couple.
“My beautiful Princess and her Husband. Folks, wish dem well for me,” Charly Boy wrote.
Adaeze had also announced the engagement on her Instagram page, posting a photograph of herself with her partner and declaring, “WE’RE ENGAGED!”
She used the hashtag #mrsandmrs while expressing excitement about building a future together.
“Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, growth, and making beautiful memories together. I can’t wait for everything God has in store for us. Forever sounds even sweeter with you,” she wrote.
The announcement attracted a range of reactions from social media users, with followers commenting on the couple’s engagement and Charly Boy’s public response.
Charly Boy, also known as Area Fada, has remained a prominent figure in Nigeria’s entertainment scene and is known for his outspoken views on social and cultural issues.
Adaeze has previously appeared in public discussions about her family, while her latest announcement has brought renewed attention to the entertainer’s family life.
