Celebrating Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Vision For a Transformed Ondo State

…Urgent Appeal For Ode Aye/Igbotako Express Road Project

I am thrilled to express my appreciation for the recent approvals made by the Ondo State Executive Council under the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. The approval for the construction of a new 2.38-kilometre flyover bridge in Akure, alongside various road projects and the upgrade of health facilities, signifies a transformative shift in our state’s infrastructure landscape.

The flyover bridge, aimed at alleviating the traffic congestion along the Alagbaka–FUTA corridor, is a testament to the governor’s commitment to improving the daily lives of residents. Additionally, the procurement of advanced medical equipment for the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (UNIMEDTH) reflects a dedication to revitalising our health sector. With these new facilities, Ondo State citizens can finally access top-tier healthcare services without the need for health tourism abroad.

I also commend the governor for other significant projects, including the canalisation of the main canal from Ugbonla to Awoye, as well as the rehabilitation and construction of numerous roads across various local government areas. These initiatives are crucial in enhancing connectivity and promoting economic growth throughout Ondo State.

While I celebrate these remarkable achievements, it is crucial that the implementation of these projects occurs promptly. Timely action is necessary to ensure that these approvals translate into real improvements for our communities.

However, I must also highlight a pressing concern regarding the Ode Aye/Igbotako Express Road, which was abandoned after its initial commencement under the late Governor Adebayo Adefarati. This strategic road connects Ode Aye to Igbotako and links to the important Omotosho expressway, holding significant economic value for our community.

I respectfully urge Governor Aiyedatiwa to consider this road project for approval. As he continues to enhance infrastructure across Ondo State, it is vital that no community, including Ode Aye, is overlooked in these developments.

In closing, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for his unwavering commitment to the progress of Ondo State. His leadership is paving the way for a brighter future, and I eagerly anticipate the successful implementation of these projects that will benefit all residents.
