Ondo State is set for a major political gathering on Thursday, September 24, 2026, as BOSUN AREBUWA, FCA, is expected to formally move from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and officially assume his new responsibilities as a key stakeholder in the APC’s campaign Arm the Renewed Hope Project 2027, where he has already been saddled with two respective roles of Grand Patron, Ondo State Chapter and Patron, South-West Zone.
The development is expected to be one of the major highlights of the inauguration of the Ondo State Chapter of the Renewed Hope Project 2027, scheduled to hold at 11:00 a.m. at the Dome, Alagbaka, Akure.
The ceremony will also feature the inauguration of the project’s Ondo State Executive Council and Local Government Area coordinators, formally activating its organisational structure across the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
As the Renewed Hope Project 2027 Grand Patron, Ondo State Chapter, and Patron, South-West Zone, Bòsún ÀRÉBÙWÀ, FCA, is expected to play a prominent role in the project’s activities across Ondo State and the wider South-West, particularly in grassroots engagement, mobilisation and coordination.
The September 24 ceremony is consequently expected to provide a public platform for Bòsún ÀRÉBÙWÀ, FCA, to formally announce his political transition, address his supporters and outline his vision for the new phase of his political engagement.
The planned movement from the PDP to the APC comes after years of political engagement by Bòsún ÀRÉBÙWÀ, FCA, and is expected to attract attention from his supporters, grassroots stakeholders and political actors across Ondo State.
The transition is also expected to provide an opportunity for him to address the factors that informed his decision, his message to supporters who have accompanied him throughout his political journey and his expectations for the next phase of his activities.
Bòsún ÀRÉBÙWÀ, FCA, is expected to speak on the consultations and considerations that preceded his decision, as well as explain what his responsibilities as the Renewed Hope Project 2027 Grand Patron, Ondo State Chapter, and Patron, South-West Zone, mean to him politically and personally.
He is also expected to outline how he intends to contribute to the project’s activities in Ondo State and across the South-West Zone.
One of the organisations associated with Bòsún ÀRÉBÙWÀ, FCA’s grassroots activities is the Bòsún ÀRÉBÙWÀ Ìmólè Political Leadership Movement (BAIPoLM), which has been involved in mobilisation, empowerment, community engagement and sensitisation activities across Ondo State.
The movement has established structures across the state’s 18 Local Government Areas, according to previous statements by Bòsún ÀRÉBÙWÀ, FCA. Its activities have included leadership development, youth engagement, empowerment initiatives and increased citizen participation.
Bòsún ÀRÉBÙWÀ, FCA, had earlier pledged to make BAIPoLM’s grassroots structures and resources available to support the activities of the Renewed Hope Project 2027 across Ondo State.
The Ondo inauguration will mark another phase in the expansion of the Renewed Hope Project 2027 as the organisation establishes state and local government structures ahead of the 2027 political season.
The event is expected to bring together newly appointed state executives and LGA coordinators, alongside supporters, grassroots representatives and other stakeholders.
The project is aligned with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, with the Ondo programme built around the theme “A Stronger Nigeria, A Brighter Tomorrow.”
Its stated emphasis is on people, progress and prosperity, while the Ondo State Chapter has adopted the message: “Together We Can, Together We Build a Greater Ondo State.”
The project’s South-West Zone has also been preparing for broader regional activities, including grassroots and youth engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.
Youth development is also expected to feature prominently in Bòsún ÀRÉBÙWÀ, FCA’s engagement as he begins this new political chapter.
Particular attention is expected on his views on education, skills acquisition and youth empowerment, including his previous involvement in ICT training initiatives for young people in Ondo State.
Questions have also been prepared on whether he plans to introduce, support or expand further youth-focused programmes through his new political platform.
Bòsún ÀRÉBÙWÀ, FCA, is also expected to use the occasion to address supporters across political affiliations.
His message is expected to reach those who have remained with him in the PDP, supporters who may identify with his new APC platform, as well as Nigerians who have followed his political journey without direct affiliation to either party.
The September 24 inauguration is therefore expected to combine the formal activation of the Renewed Hope Project 2027’s Ondo State structure with Bòsún ÀRÉBÙWÀ, FCA’s anticipated transition into the APC and his assumption of his new responsibilities as Grand Patron, Ondo State Chapter, and Patron, South-West Zone, both of the Renewed Hope Project 2027.
The event will take place at the Dome, Alagbaka, Akure, beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
