Mahmud Sadis Buba has officially reiterated his withdrawal from the race for the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, describing the decision as one of the most difficult political choices he has had to make.
In a statement released to supporters and political stakeholders, Buba said the decision followed extensive consultations with family members, political associates, party leaders and close supporters.
According to him, although the ambition was driven by a strong desire to serve the people of Sabon Gari Federal Constituency, certain political and personal considerations made it necessary for him to step aside from the contest.
“It was not an easy decision,” Buba stated, while expressing gratitude to supporters who stood by him throughout the consultation and campaign period.
He appreciated the encouragement, prayers and confidence shown by youths, women groups, community leaders and party loyalists who believed in his vision for the constituency.
Buba noted that politics should not only be about personal ambition but also about unity, peace and the collective interest of the people, adding that his withdrawal should not be seen as the end of his commitment to public service and grassroots development.
He called on his supporters to remain calm, united and loyal to the party, urging them to continue supporting efforts aimed at strengthening democratic values and improving the welfare of the people.
The politician further pledged to continue contributing to community development and youth empowerment initiatives across the constituency despite stepping away from the House of Representatives race.
His withdrawal has already generated reactions within political circles in Kaduna State, with supporters expressing mixed feelings over the development. While some described the move as strategic and mature, others said they were disappointed by his exit from the contest.
Political observers believe the decision could reshape the dynamics of the race for the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency seat ahead of the forthcoming general election.
