Former two-time heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua has officially returned to full training camp, signaling a determined comeback after months of recovery following a tragic car accident that disrupted his career.
Joshua resumed full camp on 17 March 2026, linking up with the training team of Oleksandr Usyk as he intensifies preparations for his next fight.
This marks his first full return to structured training since the December 2025 accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two close associates.
The training is taking place within Usyk’s camp setup, where Joshua is working under coach Iegor Golub, reflecting a strategic shift in his preparation and technical approach ahead of a projected summer return.
The reason behind this comeback is both professional and personal. After surviving the crash and undergoing physical and emotional recovery, Joshua is now focused on rebuilding his career, with promoter Eddie Hearn indicating a likely return to the ring around July 2026.
This development is significant not just for Joshua’s career, but for the heavyweight division, as it reignites talks of a long-anticipated clash with Tyson Fury later in the year.
