The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has renamed the International Centre for Culture and Events, popularly known as The Dome, in honour of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko.
According to a press statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the facility will henceforth be known as the Dr Olusegun Mimiko International Centre for Culture and Events.
Governor Aiyedatiwa announced the decision on Saturday at a birthday celebration held in Abuja to honour Mimiko, who governed Ondo State from 2009 to 2017.
Starnews NG reports that Mimiko built the facility during his tenure as governor of Ondo State from February 24, 2009, to February 24, 2017.
