Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on Thursday joined Vice President Kashim Shettima, governors, ministers, lawmakers and other top members of the ruling party at the official submission of Nomination and Expression of Interest forms by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja.
The event, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, attracted prominent political figures from across the country and marked a major step in President Tinubu’s political preparations ahead of the next electoral cycle.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, who arrived alongside other governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), described the gathering as a demonstration of unity and confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu.
He said the president’s administration has continued to pursue reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s economy, strengthening infrastructure and improving national security.
The submission ceremony was attended by members of the National Working Committee of the APC, federal lawmakers, party stakeholders, youth groups and supporters who gathered to show solidarity with the president.
Vice President Shettima, while speaking at the occasion, commended party loyalists and supporters for their commitment to the administration, noting that the government remains focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
Several governors present at the venue reaffirmed their support for President Tinubu, expressing optimism that ongoing economic and social reforms would yield long-term benefits for the country.
The atmosphere at the conference centre was vibrant, with party supporters chanting slogans and waving banners in support of the president and the APC leadership.
Governor Aiyedatiwa’s presence at the event further underscored his alignment with the policies and political direction of the Tinubu-led administration, as leaders of the party continue consultations and mobilisation efforts across the country.
