The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released the full list of its governorship candidates for the 2027 general election.
The list was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.
The party said the candidates, drawn from different political and professional backgrounds, would fly its flag in their respective states as it seeks to strengthen its presence across the country.
According to the ADC, the candidates represent its commitment to providing Nigerians with what it described as credible leadership and an alternative political platform ahead of the 2027 elections.
Among the prominent names on the list is Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, who will contest the Lagos governorship election with Gbadamosi Babatunde Olalere as his running mate.
Other candidates include Halliru Jika and Sama’ila Kabi in Bauchi; Senator Ahmad Kaita and Aminu Ahmed in Katsina; and John Sura and Pwajok-Kele Bitrus in Plateau.
Former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, is listed as the party’s candidate in Kebbi, while Shinkafi Bilyaminu Yusuf will contest in Zamfara.
In the South-West, the list includes Biodun Ogundipe in Ogun and Taofeek Adegoke in Oyo, while Great Ogboru is listed for Delta State.
Ibrahim Ali Amin is the party’s candidate in Kano.
The ADC list covers 28 states, including Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Benue, Borno, Ebonyi, Enugu, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba and Yobe.
