Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned politicians, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies against attempting to manipulate the 2027 general elections.
Ayodele said anyone involved in rigging, bribery or other forms of electoral malpractice would face serious consequences, insisting that the 2027 election would usher in significant changes in Nigeria.
Speaking on the forthcoming election, the cleric warned those who may attempt to interfere with the process, saying, “When you take a step of rigging that election, your generation, over generation, will be cursed.”
He also cautioned politicians and their supporters against using violence or intimidation during the election.
According to him, Nigerians are “tired of stagnancy, tired of failure”, stressing that anyone who attempts to oppress, attack or kill people because of the election “will not see the light of the day.”
Ayodele also issued a warning to electoral officials against accepting bribes, saying such actions would be exposed.
“Either you’re INEC, you’re anything, you’re taking bribe, it will expose a lot of things, because bigger power will be in this election,” he said.
The cleric maintained that he was not affiliated with any political party and would continue to speak about political developments based on what he claims to observe.
“Me, I’m not a supporter of anybody. It’s what I see, I will say. If it’s APC, I will talk about it. If it’s PDP, I will talk about it. If it’s NDC, I will talk about it. If it’s Labour, I will talk about it,” he said.
Looking ahead to 2027, Ayodele predicted a major political shift, saying the election would bring something different to the country.
“2027 election, a lot will change. Something new will speak. God is going to another direction. That is 2027 election. Let’s wait,” he declared.
Ayodele also responded to critics who question his prophecies, saying those who do not believe in his predictions should simply disregard them rather than engage in attacks.
He maintained that criticism had not discouraged him from speaking out, adding that opposition to his views had only strengthened his resolve.
“The more enemies we are having, the more God is blessing us,” Ayodele said.
