Nigerians can now access several government services online, reducing the need for physical visits to public offices for certain transactions.
From passport applications to business registration, the digital platforms allow citizens to submit applications, obtain information and track some requests.
Here are 10 government services Nigerians can access online and their official portals.
- International passport application
The Nigeria Immigration Service allows applicants to begin passport applications, renewals and reissues online. Applicants may still need to visit designated centres for biometric capture and other procedures.

- Driver’s licence application and renewal
The Federal Road Safety Corps provides an online platform for driver’s licence applications, renewals and reissues. Applicants are required to follow the relevant verification and physical attendance procedures.

- Business name and company registration
Entrepreneurs can use the Corporate Affairs Commission’s online portal to register eligible business names and companies, reserve names and access certain post-registration services.

TaxPro MAX provides online tax-related services, including taxpayer account access and certain filing and compliance processes. Users should confirm which tax authority handles their particular obligations.

The National Identity Management Commission provides information and access to selected NIN-related services, including guidance on enrolment and data modification. Initial enrolment requires biometric capture.

What applicants should know
