The Nigeria Customs Service men’s team, along with the COAS Spikers women’s category, played an exciting semi-final match on Friday to qualify for the Nigeria Volleyball Federation 2025 Super Cup championship finals scheduled for Saturday.
They dominated their opponents in a thrilling showdown that captivated fans and spectators at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Package B, in Abuja.
The Nigeria Customs Service men triumphed over their counterpart the Nigeria Correctional Service with a stocking 3–1 (25–23, 22–25, 25–18, 25–21) scores in a closely contested semi-final match.
In another semi-final match, the CNS Spikers showcased a strong performance, defeating the Defence Spikers 3–0 (25–22, 25–18, 25–23) to set up a championship clash against the Nigeria Customs Service.
Earlier on the same day, Life Camp Volleyball Club narrowly defeated Ajase Ipo Volleyball Club 3–2 (17–25, 25–23, 25–23, 22–25, 15–11) in a thrilling match to claim fifth place in the men’s category.
In the women’s category, COAS Spikers rallied from behind to beat CNS Spikers 3–1 (14–25, 25–17, 25–23, 25–22) on Friday, February 6, securing their spot in the tournament final.
The final day of the 2025 Super Cup promises to be filled with exciting matches as the championship draws to a close.
Fans and spectators are eagerly looking forward to their teams’ victories on Saturday, February 7, with four matches lined up at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium package B main hall.
The Defence Spikers will face the Nigeria Correctional Service in the men’s third-place match, kicking off at 9:00 am, followed by CNS Spikers competing against Vipers Spikers at 11:00 am.
In the women’s final, COAS Spikers will take on the Nigeria Customs Service at 1:00 pm, while the Nigeria Customs Service will battle CNS Spikers in the men’s final to determine the winner of the 2025 Super Cup championship.
