Dr. Doris Uzoka‑Anite, the recently redeployed Minister of State, has publicly thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu after being removed from her role as Minister of State for Finance and appointed Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning in Abuja on March 3–4, 2026. The change came as part of a minor cabinet reshuffle communicated officially on March 3, 2026, when Tinubu nominated Taiwo Oyedele as her replacement at the Finance Ministry, forwarding his name to the Senate for confirmation.
In a statement on her social media platform on March 4, 2026, Uzoka‑Anite expressed gratitude for the continued confidence Tinubu has placed in her, describing the new assignment as “an honour” and reaffirming her commitment to the #RenewedHopeAgenda and measurable results for Nigerians. She also congratulated Oyedele, wishing him a smooth confirmation process and success in his new role.
Her redeployment marks her third distinct portfolio under the Tinubu administration, reflecting ongoing efforts to reorganise economic leadership amid fiscal challenges and a broader push to strengthen national planning and budgeting coordination. Uzoka‑Anite pledged to work closely with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning and other stakeholders to drive inclusive growth and deliver on government priorities that impact Nigerians across the federation.
