An Emirati political analyst in Saudi Arabia Amjad Taha, has sparked debate with a strongly worded tribute to U.S. President Donald Trump, portraying him as a symbol of resilience and defiance in the face of global threats.
In a post shared online, Taha described Trump as a “rare courageous lion” who, in his view, stood firm against a range of challenges, including geopolitical tensions involving Iran, rising antisemitism, threats to the U.S. dollar’s dominance, and transnational criminal networks.
He further claimed that Trump survived multiple assassination attempts, framing the US president as a leader who endured extraordinary personal and political risks.
Taha’s remarks praised what he characterized as Trump’s unwavering leadership style, arguing that “true leaders don’t bend” and asserting that President Donald Trump inspired millions by “standing tall when others fold.”
The post cast Trump’s political legacy in stark moral terms, suggesting a broader struggle between “light and darkness.”
However, the claims and tone of the tribute have drawn scrutiny, particularly regarding the assertion of multiple assassination attempts and the sweeping characterization of complex global issues.
