UACC General Overseer Pays Tribute to Late Media Director Paul I. Erakhifu

The President and General Overseer of the United Apostolic Church of Christ, Rev. Dr. James Bayo Owoyemi, has paid a condolence visit to the church’s General Headquarters following the death of its Media Director, Paul I. Erakhifu.

Rev. Dr. Owoyemi, who visited the headquarters on May 3, 2026, described late Paul as a committed servant of God whose contributions to the church’s global media outreach would not be forgotten.

Addressing members during the visit, the cleric urged believers to draw strength from the scriptures, noting that Christians are enjoined to comfort one another in times of grief.

He said his visit was in fulfilment of that biblical instruction, adding that the church must remain united despite the painful loss.

The General Overseer described the late Erakhifu as a strategic thinker and dedicated worker who handled multiple responsibilities within the church, particularly in the areas of communication, digital evangelism, broadcast coordination and editorial duties.

According to him, the deceased played a key role in advancing the church’s media presence and strengthening its global reach.

“Pastor Paul served with diligence and excellence. His contributions to the growth of the church’s media ministry are evident across various platforms,” he said.

Rev. Dr. Owoyemi added that although his passing was painful, believers should not mourn without hope, stressing that the late cleric had lived a life of service and faith.

He urged members of the church to sustain the legacy of commitment and hard work left behind by the deceased.

The cleric also visited the family of the late media director, where he commiserated with his wife, Blessing Erakhifu, his elder sister, Christiana Atima, and other family members.

During the visit, he encouraged them to remain steadfast in faith, assuring them that the deceased had gone to be with his Creator.

He offered prayers for the family and signed the condolence register.

Those that accompanied the General Overseer include: Rev. Mrs Mary Owoyemi, Rev (Dr) Mrs. V.A Olorunyomi, Pastor Samuel Ogundoro, Pastor Dele Ishola and a host of other ministers of God.

The family is expected to announce burial arrangements at a later date.
