By Sunday Ameh

Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, with the Brazilian forward potentially set to leave the Premier League club this summer.

According to Sky Italia, Napoli’s new manager, Massimiliano Allegri, is a long-term admirer of Jesus and could push for a move for the 29-year-old.

Jesus and Allegri are represented by the same agent, Giovanni Branchini, who was reportedly spotted at Napoli’s pre-season training camp in Castel di Sangro on Friday.

A meeting could reportedly take place to discuss the possibility of Jesus joining the Serie A side.

However, Napoli may first need to resolve their situation in attack The club could make a move for Jesus if they are able to find new clubs for Lorenzo Lucca, who spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, or Romelu Lukaku.

Arsenal are reportedly willing to demand around £18 million for Jesus, who has entered the final year of his contract with the North London club.

A move to Napoli would see the Brazilian return to Serie A, where he would reunite with Allegri as the Italian manager looks to strengthen his squad.
