President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to do so ahead of the 2027 general election.
Tinubu made the appeal on Friday, 6 November, while addressing supporters at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential endorsement rally at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
He described the PVC as the most important instrument for citizens’ participation in the electoral process. “If you have not collected it, please go ahead and collect your PVC. I am begging you, for the sake of your future,” he told the crowd.
The President also pledged that his administration would pursue development, improved education, vocational training, skills development and job creation. “I promise you a better future. I promise you development, I promise you education, I promise you skills development, I promise you jobs,” he said.
Tinubu further highlighted the economic potential of Akwa Ibom’s palm produce, saying the state could create employment opportunities and develop lasting skills by harnessing its agricultural resources.
He also expressed confidence in securing a second term, telling supporters that he would spend the night in Akwa Ibom and dream of victory in the 2027 election.
His appearance formed part of the APC’s mobilisation activities ahead of the next general election.
