President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima met with a top team from the World Bank on earlier today. The meeting took place at the State House in Abuja.
The World Bank group was led by Anna Bjerde, the organization’s Managing Director of Operations. The President’s adviser, Bayo Onanuga, shared the news on social media.
Details of what they discussed have not been made public yet. This meeting comes shortly after the same World Bank officials visited Lagos State.
Just two days earlier, on Sunday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu also met with Anna Bjerde’s team. That visit included another senior official, Ethiopia Tafara, who is a Vice President for the International Finance Corporation in Africa.
