President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially sworn in the newly appointed Minister of Power and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and advance the administration’s policy objectives under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja and was attended by senior government officials, cabinet members, and other dignitaries. The appointments are expected to reinforce key sectors of the administration, particularly electricity supply, energy reforms, diplomatic engagement, and international cooperation.
The new Minister of Power assumes office at a time when Nigeria continues to face significant challenges in the electricity sector, including inadequate generation capacity, transmission constraints, infrastructure deficits, and concerns over energy access.
Stakeholders have expressed hope that renewed leadership in the ministry will accelerate ongoing reforms aimed at improving power supply and supporting economic growth.
Similarly, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs is expected to support Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements, regional partnerships, and foreign policy objectives as the country seeks to strengthen its influence within Africa and the broader international community.
President Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering effective governance, economic development, infrastructure expansion, and improved public services.
He urged the newly sworn-in ministers to demonstrate dedication, transparency, and a strong commitment to national service.
