President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Nigerians to pray for Kidnappers, other terrorists to repent and abandon criminal activities as Muslims across the country celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
In his Sallah message released on Tuesday, the President urged citizens to continue praying for peace, unity, and national security, assuring Nigerians that his administration remains determined to overcome insecurity across the country.
Tinubu acknowledged that despite ongoing military operations and recent gains recorded by security agencies, some communities still face attacks from terrorists and bandits.
“I assure you: you are neither abandoned nor forgotten. We will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil,” the President stated.
He also encouraged Nigerians to use the Eid-el-Kabir season to show compassion to the less privileged, promote unity, and strengthen peaceful coexistence among citizens.
According to Tinubu, the economic reforms introduced by his administration may appear difficult in the short term, but they are necessary steps aimed at rebuilding the economy and securing long-term prosperity for the country.
The President maintained that Nigeria’s economy has become more stable and increasingly attractive to investors following reforms implemented over the past three years.
He further urged Nigerians to continue praying for the nation and its leaders while warning that criminal elements who refuse to renounce violence would face the full weight of the law.
