Popular Afrobeat singer Afeez Adeshina, widely known as Destiny Boy, has died at the age of 22.
The death of the young artiste was confirmed after a video showing his lifeless body surfaced on social media, sparking reactions from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
Sources said the late singer’s body was being taken to Abeokuta in Ogun State for burial as at the time this report was filed.
Destiny Boy rose to fame in 2019 after releasing a Fuji-style cover of Davido’s hit song If, which gained wide attention and helped launch his music career.
The singer had recently shared personal news with fans, announcing the birth of his first child on his Instagram page in November 2024.
