The Oyo State Police Command has disclosed that it has uncovered plans by members of a cult group to incite violence among rival factions.

Osifeso added that Sonubi assured the people of the state of comprehensive security coverage, including convoy patrols, intelligence-driven stop-and-search operations, and vigilant surveillance of critical infrastructure, public spaces, and places of interest.
“Consequently, parents, guardians, and influential persons are advised to caution their wards and protégés against participating in any unlawful gathering or assembly with the aim of disrupting the peace of the state.
“The state police command will arrest and prosecute offenders,” he emphasized.
The spokesperson urged hoteliers, owners of lounges, and other recreational facility proprietors to refrain from allowing the use of their premises for cult-related activities, warning that they would face prosecution for facilitating such activities.
He encouraged residents of the state to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and to promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or formation.
Osifeso reassured them to continue their daily activities without fear of harassment or intimidation from any quarter.
