Veteran Nollywood actor and broadcaster Patrick Doyle is in deep mourning following the death of his newborn daughter, Omayinuwa Mayen Harriet Doyle, who passed away just hours after birth. The heartbreaking development has drawn widespread sympathy across Nigeria’s entertainment industry and beyond.
On April 12, 2026, reports confirmed that the child was born on Friday, April 10, at about 10:40 a.m., and died on Saturday, April 11, at approximately 4:15 p.m. Doyle had earlier announced the birth of his daughter with his wife Funmilayo, describing the arrival as a moment of joy before the tragic turn of events unfolded.
In his emotional Facebook post, Doyle expressed gratitude for the brief time spent with his daughter, noting that although her stay was short, it brought immense joy to the family. He added that faith and trust in God remain his source of strength during the painful loss.
