Pastor Akinrinlola Mocks Nigeria’s Political Scene, Says No Opposition Ahead of 2027

In a surprising turn of events, Pastor Olumide Akinrinlola, known for his thought-provoking sermons, has taken to social media not to preach but to quip about Nigeria’s political situation.

The pastor and Publisher of Starnews NG, on Monday, stirred up a storm on his Facebook handle with a post that has left both his followers and casual observers chuckling at the state of the nation’s political opposition.

“Very unfortunate that there is no viable opposition in Nigeria considering the looming crises facing the ruling APC,” he wrote, setting the tone for a post that reads like a political comedy sketch.

“Which party will take advantage of this opportunity?” he asked, apparently seeking a party brave enough to step into the political arena to face the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

With a playful jab at the current political climate, he declared, “The real PDP is dead. Wike-led PDP is APC. ADC is not settled. AAC is not visible.” It seems the pastor has found a way to combine his political commentary with a dose of humour, causing followers to break into laughter at the absurdity of the situation.

His post has since gone viral, with many Nigerians chiming in with their own witty comments and observations. Some have suggested that perhaps the only viable opposition left is a “party of memes,” while others are calling for a “Survivor: Political Edition” where parties compete to see who can make the most noise.

As the political landscape continues to shift like quicksand, Pastor Akinrinlola’s humorous take has provided a moment of levity and reflection.
