Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has alleged that soldiers are attempting to prevent him from entering Osun State ahead of the state governorship election.
Davido made the allegation in a post on his official X handle on Saturday, August 15, 2026, as voters prepare to cast their ballots in the keenly contested election.
The singer, who is from Osun State, did not provide further details on the alleged action by the soldiers or explain why he was being prevented from entering the state.
His allegation comes amid heightened security deployment across Osun ahead of the election, with security agencies expected to maintain law and order throughout the electoral process.
