Only God can convince me to quit presidential race – Biden

U.S. President Joe Biden stated that nothing could persuade him to withdraw from the presidential race.

There have been demands for Joe Biden to resign following his unimpressive performance during the June 27 presidential debate against Republican nominee and former president Donald Trump.

Following the debate, a number of US voters, political analysts, and stakeholders voiced concerns about the president’s health and mental state of mind.

In a Friday interview with ABC News, Biden stated that only the “Lord Almighty” could persuade him to withdraw his candidacy for reelection.

He said, “I mean if the Lord Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe, get outta the race’, I would get outta the race. The Lord Almighty’s not coming down. I mean, these hypotheticals.

“I don’t think anybody is more qualified to be president or win this race than me.

“Look, I’m running again because I think I understand best what has to be done to take this nation to a completely new level. We are on our way. We are on our way.”

After the White House announced that Biden is not withdrawing from the race in spite of mounting concerns, Biden also played down criticisms that he is too elderly and weak to run for president a second time.

“I see all these stories that say I am too old.. was I too old to create 15 million jobs? Was I too old to erase student debt for five million Americans? Do you think I’m too old to beat Donald Trump?” he asked.
