The All Progressives Congress has called for intensified mobilisation ahead of the Ondo South Senatorial Bye-Election scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026, as the party prepares to hold its grand finale campaign rally in Okitipupa.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Chairman of the APC Media and Publicity Subcommittee, Hon. Barr. Banji Okunomo, the party urged members, leaders, supporters and stakeholders across the six local government areas of the senatorial district to participate actively in the final campaign event.
According to the statement, party faithful from Ese-Odo, Ilaje, Irele, Okitipupa, Odigbo and Ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government Areas are expected to converge on the Methodist Primary School Playing Ground, Okitipupa, for the rally.
Okunomo described the event as a critical moment in the party’s efforts to secure victory in the election, noting that APC candidate, Prof. Dayo Faduyile, would use the occasion to present his final campaign message to voters.
“The rally will provide an opportunity for our candidate, Professor Dayo Faduyile, to engage with party faithful and reinforce our shared vision for effective representation and sustainable development across the Ondo South Senatorial District,” the statement read.
The APC also disclosed that Ondo State Governor and leader of the party in the state, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is expected to attend the rally alongside other party leaders, elected officials and stakeholders.
The party described the rally as more than a campaign event, saying it would serve as a platform to strengthen unity and consolidate support ahead of the election.
Okunomo urged party members to return to their respective wards and polling units after the rally to intensify voter mobilisation and ensure a massive turnout on election day.
“Victory is achievable when we remain united, focused, disciplined and committed to our common purpose. Let us finish strong and work together to deliver a resounding victory for our party and our candidate,” he stated.
The Ondo South Senatorial Bye-Election is scheduled to hold on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
