A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Bode Obanla, and former Ondo State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo, held a closed-door meeting yesterday at Oluboyo’s private residence in Alagbaka, Akure, as political activities ramp up in Ondo State ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The meeting took place on Friday and focused on key issues affecting the state’s political landscape, including the shifting dynamics within the political ecosystem and the electoral prospects of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Both leaders, prominent figures from Akoko North East Local Government Area, discussed potential collaboration and political synergy. While specific resolutions from the meeting remain undisclosed, the engagement is seen as a significant step as the political climate evolves in the lead-up to the elections.
As the political scene in Ondo State continues to develop, this meeting may indicate a shift in alliances and influence. Observers will be monitoring the situation closely as the election date approaches.
