A frontline chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former aide to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Hon. Bode Obanla, has congratulated Hon. Babatunde Kolawole on his emergence and inauguration as chairman of the Ondo State chapter of the party.
Obanla made this known to newsmen in Akure on Saturday where he described Kolawole as an experienced politician and party stalwart, saying his emergence comes with enormous responsibility that requires proactiveness, fairness and firmness.
In his congratulatory message, Obanla urged the new party chairman to provide all-inclusive leadership and avoid actions capable of deepening divisions within the ruling party in the state.
He also advised Kolawole to remain non-factional and non-chauvinistic, stressing that the office he now occupies is held in trust for all members of the APC in Ondo State.
“I have no doubt that you have the capacity to function in this office. I congratulate you on your emergence as the chairman of the state chapter of our party. You are the chairman of all and it is required of you to play the game according to the rules.
“We shall give you all necessary support to succeed as you strive to be fair to all in your new assignment,” Obanla said.
Kolawole emerged as Ondo APC chairman after the national secretariat of the party resolved the internal crisis that rocked the party in Ondo State.
