The Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, has praised Engineer Musa Nimrod, the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), for the noticeable progress and renewed energy in volleyball in Nigeria.
Sanusi made these comments on Friday in Abuja, right after Life Camp Volleyball Club narrowly defeated Ajase Ipo VC with a score of 3-2 (17-25, 25-23, 25-23, 22-25, 15-11) in an exciting match at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
Discussing the advancement of volleyball in the country, Sanusi remarked that Nimrod’s presence at the event was expected by those who know his background in sports.
He emphasized that the sport has gained admiration and respect under Nimrod’s leadership, which is characterized by effective administration and a true passion for volleyball.
Sanusi highlighted Nimrod’s strong connection to the sport as a significant asset that has led to effective leadership and consistent progress for the federation.
He also noted that Nimrod’s engineering background has positively influenced volleyball administration in Nigeria, bringing in structure, strategic planning, and innovation that have propelled the sport’s growth across the country.
Sanusi recalled that Nimrod’s involvement in volleyball began during his postgraduate studies at the University of Ibadan, where he actively played the sport.
In addition to playing, Nimrod has taught volleyball at both the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) and degree levels, providing him with a robust technical and academic foundation.
