Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the man accused of forging government appointment letters and falsely presenting himself as the Director-General of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) and Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), has said he is not on the run but fears for his safety.
Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television’s current affairs programme on Monday, Adeyemi denied hiding from security agencies, insisting he is prepared to face the allegations against him.
“I’m ready to show my face. I’m not hiding. I’m only fearing for my life because I have it on good authority that my life is in danger,” he said.
He further alleged that there had been several attempts on his life but did not provide details of the incidents or identify those he believed were responsible.
“There have been several attempts on my life, and I’m ready for that,” Adeyemi added.
His comments come amid ongoing controversy surrounding the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, which the Presidency has repeatedly maintained does not exist as a recognised government agency.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force is set to arraign Adeyemi before the Federal High Court in Abuja over allegations bordering on forgery, impersonation and other related offences.
According to the charge, marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, Adeyemi and two other defendants are facing an eight-count charge, including forgery and impersonation.
Police investigators also alleged that before his arrest, Adeyemi operated the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council from an office on the second floor of the Federal Secretariat Complex, Phase III, Abuja.
The allegations remain before the court, and Adeyemi is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in accordance with the law.
