The development was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mashood Agboola.

According to the statement, the exercise is intended to broaden opportunities within the administration and inject fresh energy into governance.

“The decision, which is meant to extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into the administration, also affected the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor,” the statement said.

Governor AbdulRazaq expressed appreciation to the affected appointees for their contributions to the administration and wished them success in their future endeavours.

The statement also directed all affected officials to hand over government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.

The government described the exercise as a minor cabinet reshuffle and did not immediately announce replacements for the affected positions.
