Nollywood actor Cjay Nwoks, whose real name is Chijioke Nwokafor, has reportedly died, leaving actress Nkechi Blessing and members of a movie production team mourning his sudden death.
According to report gathered by Starnews NG on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Cjay Nwoks was the lead actor in a movie produced by or associated with Nkechi Blessing that was scheduled for release at 5pm.
The actress reportedly broke down in tears following news of the actor’s death, expressing her grief over the loss.
Nkechi Blessing reportedly said the development had left her unable to proceed with the planned release of the movie, despite the project already being completed.
She subsequently decided to cancel the release as she and other members of the production team mourned the actor.
Cjay Nwoks was known for his appearances in several Nollywood productions. Film databases identify him as Chijioke Nwokafor, with Cjay Nwoks credited as his screen name. He featured in films including Come Alive, Doctor Lanre, Tide, Godly Escort and Fond of You.
His reported death has since triggered an outpouring of condolences from fans and colleagues, with tributes directed to his family, friends and members of the movie industry.
As of the time of publication, details surrounding the circumstances or cause of his death had not been established in the reports reviewed.
