VeryDarkMan, the controversial social media activist, has fired back at politician Omoyele Sowore following his criticism of the detention of cryptocurrency entrepreneur, Linus Williams, popularly known as Blord.
Blord was on Wednesday remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre after he was accused of criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and the unauthorised use of VeryDarkMan’s identity.
Sowore had earlier condemned what he described as the “celebration” of Blord’s incarceration, arguing that the situation should not be trivialised. He also vowed to take steps to ensure that the charges against Blord are dropped and that he regains his freedom.
Reacting, VeryDarkMan insisted that impersonation is a serious offence that must not be overlooked, stressing that anyone found culpable should be made to face the full weight of the law.
He warned that he would not tolerate any attempt to misuse his identity, directly cautioning Sowore against supporting or justifying such actions.
“I’ll send you to prison if you impersonate me like Blord,” he said.
VeryDarkMan maintained that the case should be allowed to run its full legal course without interference, adding that protecting personal identity, especially in the digital space, is critical.
The development has sparked mixed reactions online, with some backing the activist’s stance on identity protection, while others align with Sowore’s position on civil liberties and due process.
The case continues to generate debate as legal proceedings unfold.
