A viral video circulating on social media has sparked controversy after a woman accused a Lagos based cleric identified as Pastor Jerry of Jericho Wall Has Fallen Praise & Worship Ministry of sexual exploiting her
The church is said to be located at Shop, 33 Alatilapa plaza Ajegbomopon bus stop Shomolu, Lagos.
She accused the pastor of impregnating her seven times and allegedly coercing her into repeated abortions that she claims eventually led to the removal of her womb.
In the emotional video, the woman said she initially approached the cleric seeking spiritual help to overcome an addiction to pornography.
“I went to meet Pastor Jerry because I wanted deliverance from pornography. I believed he was a genuine man of God who could help me,” she said.
According to her, Pastor Jerry allegedly claimed he had once struggled with the same addiction and insisted that she had to become intimate with him before prayers for her deliverance could be effective.
“He told me he also battled pornography and that God instructed him to sleep with me before he could pray for my deliverance. I believed him.”
She alleged that the encounter developed into a long-term sexual relationship during which she became pregnant several times.
“Every time I got pregnant, he told me to remove it so that his ministry would not be destroyed. I kept doing it because I loved him and believed what he told me.”
The woman claimed the pastor repeatedly pressured her to terminate her pregnancy to avoid scandal and protect the reputation of Jericho Wall Has Fallen Praise & Worship Ministry.
According to her, after the seventh abortion she suffered severe complications that ultimately resulted in doctors removing her womb.
“After the seventh abortion, I started bleeding seriously. The doctors later told me my womb had to be removed. That was the end of my hope of having children.”
Despite the diagnosis, she alleged that Pastor Jerry assured her God would miraculously restore her womb if she remained faithful and continued serving in the church.
“He kept telling me God would give me another womb and that I would still give birth. I believed him and continued serving in the church.”
She also claimed that years later, Pastor Jerry’s brother, who had returned from the United States, expressed interest in marrying her after observing her commitment to the church.
However, she alleged that the cleric opposed the relationship and gave a different account of how she lost her womb.
“When his brother wanted to marry me, he told him I was promiscuous before I joined the church and that I had already lost my womb. That broke me.”
The allegations have generated intense reactions across social media, with users divided over the woman’s claims.
While some called for a thorough investigation into the allegations and expressed concern over the possibility of spiritual manipulation and abuse of authority, others questioned the credibility of the story.
