Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has declared that she is ready to return to filmmaking after making her celebrity boxing debut against reality TV star Phyna.

Blessing was knocked out by Phyna in the bout but described her participation as a courageous experience, noting that she had only trained for two days before the fight.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, the actress said she remained proud of her performance despite the outcome.

“Still a CHAMPION regardless of the result… even the blind knows who the winner is,” she wrote.

“Now let’s go back to making movies cus I no be boxer.”

Despite her defeat, Blessing said she would not rule out another appearance in the boxing ring.

“Will I do this again? OH YES,” she stated in another post while reflecting on her first experience as a boxer.

The actress said she had never raised her hands to fight anyone before the contest but found the courage to face the challenge and “fought like a warrior.”

Blessing also dedicated the experience to her late mother, Gloria Obasi Sunday.

She said she wanted her mother to be present during the event and had specifically requested that her late mother’s favourite song be played before she entered the ring.

“Mummy were you watching? Did you also hear when they played your favorite song? I wanted you around that was why I asked for that song,” she wrote.

The actress thanked Balmoral Promotions and Bet9ja for giving her the opportunity to participate in the celebrity boxing event, describing the experience as unforgettable.
