Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has denounced the recent assaults on communities in the Madagali and Hong Local Government Areas, labeling these acts as cowardly terrorism that will not be tolerated.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the governor warned the perpetrators of the violence to halt their actions immediately or face severe repercussions.
“We will not permit terrorists to disrupt the peace and stability we have diligently worked to restore.
“Those responsible for these senseless acts must cease immediately or confront the full force of our collective determination,” the governor stated.
Governor Fintiri reassured residents of his administration’s strong commitment to fighting terrorism and safeguarding lives and property throughout the state.
He highlighted that the government has effectively tackled similar security issues in the past and is determined to do so again.
The governor promised ongoing collaboration with security forces to ensure that those accountable are located and brought to justice.
He also praised security personnel for their courage, dedication, and sacrifices in protecting communities, assuring them of continued government support.
Encouraging calm, Governor Fintiri urged citizens to carry on with their lawful activities without fear, reiterating the government’s commitment to their safety.
“We are here for you. We will safeguard you and your livelihoods,” he assured, while calling for public cooperation with current security measures.
The governor emphasized that unity and collective determination among the state’s residents are essential to overcoming terrorism and establishing lasting peace and development.
