A major fire incident has broken out in Kano State, destroying parts of several buildings, including offices reportedly belonging to DHL and FCMB.
The fire reportedly started around midnight on Friday, according to a post shared on X by former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad, who raised the alarm over the development.
Although the exact location has not been officially confirmed, early reports indicate that the flames spread rapidly to surrounding structures, raising concerns about possible extensive damage.
Fire service personnel from different agencies were called in, with urgent appeals made for support from state, federal, and private firefighting units to help contain the inferno and prevent further escalation.
Authorities are yet to determine the cause of the fire, while emergency operations are still ongoing at the scene.
