The Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday granted bail to the National President of Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Bello Badejo, in the sum of ₦2 billion as he continues to face trial.
The court approved the bail application after hearing submissions from both the prosecution and defence counsel.
Although bail was granted, the court stipulated conditions that Badejo must fulfil before he can be released from custody.
The matter was subsequently adjourned to a later date for the continuation of trial.
Details of the charges against the Miyetti Allah leader and the specific bail conditions were not immediately disclosed in court.
